Trek Global Corporation
Senior Java Developer
Malaysia

I am a member of the Trek Global development team. We customize and integrate open-source ERP and CRM business solutions for our clients. I have a beloved husband and a son at primary school age.

Tell us a little bit about your childhood and where you grew up.

I was born and raised in Malaysia. I studied there. After my college, I further my studies in Australia. I returned to Malaysia after I got my degree in Information Technology. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading books and playing computer games.

How did you get into programming?

I wanted to study accounting during college. Programming and Economic courses were offered by my college at that time. I attended the Programming course introduction and got attracted. Since then, my study and career path have changed to IT. I still enjoy programming and didn’t regret it.

How long have you been part of iDempiere?

Firstly I was introduced to ADempiere in 2008. For work reasons, I was involved in iDempiere development from the beginning until now.

How and why did you get involved with iDempiere?

I got a Java Developer job where I had to work with ADempiere and iDempiere. There is where I started to get involved. I would like to thank Heng Sin and Trek Global for the opportunities.

How does it feel to win the August 2022 Hero of the month title?

I’m surprised because I am quiet and not very active in the iDempiere community. Thank you for your vote as the Hero of The Month.

What would you like to say to other community members? Any advice or suggestions?

It’s a great pleasure to be part of the iDempiere community. I’ve learned a lot from the iDempiere community. Specially thanks to Heng Sin and Carlos Ruiz for all the code reviews.
